Road safety assessment of the new road junction in Šmartno

The main purpose of the performed expert review was to thoroughly check the safety of the public road during the reconstruction of the road junction, which will serve the needs of six new single-family houses. Since the new junction is being built on the site of the existing one, but due to space constraints, certain design solutions deviate from the standard elements prescribed by law, it was necessary to involve a traffic safety assessor. In the report, the assessor examined in detail all critical points and elements that required additional expert review beyond the scope of general regulations.

The main objective of the assessment was to ensure the highest possible level of traffic safety for all participants on the R3-639 state road. By reviewing the planned solutions, we aimed to reduce the risk of traffic accidents, while at the same time proposing effective and low-budget measures to improve the situation. This enabled us to safely connect new residential units to the transport network without compromising traffic flow or safety on the existing regional road.
