Development of cycling routes in Most na Soči

We are preparing project documentation (DPP and PZI) for the Slovenian Infrastructure Agency for the construction of a section of the long-distance cycling route (DKP 7) near the village of Most na Soči, one of the most beautiful areas along the Idrijca River. The project covers a route just over a kilometer long, which will provide cyclists with a safe and well-maintained path between the village of Most na Soči and the town of Postaja, where the railway station is located. The new cycling route thus provides a link between rail and bicycle traffic and gives this tourist destination a new dimension of attractiveness and sustainable connectivity. The section in question is also part of the Alpe-Adria mountain bike trail.

Main highlights of the project:

Length of the route
1,020 m of cycling surfaces on the Postaja – Most na Soči section.
Technically demanding implementation
The route runs through a narrow area between the Idrijca River and the railway line, which requires the renovation of existing support structures and the construction of new ones.
Comprehensive arrangement
In addition to the cycling path, the project also includes drainage arrangements and the reconstruction of local infrastructure.
Status of works
The interventions are planned as maintenance works in the public interest, which enables faster and more efficient implementation in the safety zone of existing roads.
