Reconstruction of the parking lot at the Bled Jezero railway station

The planned parking lot renovation project at the railway station is located on Kolodvorska Road within the settlement of Bled in cadastral municipality 2189 Rečica. The area in question is currently a gravel parking lot on the south side of the railway station, in the immediate vicinity of the railway line. The parking lot is not organized in terms of traffic, and the parking spaces are also disorganized. The terrain in the area is flat, but it is not organized in terms of drainage.

The existing macadam parking lot on Kolodvorska cesta in Bled will undergo a complete transformation as part of the new project. The currently unregulated area with inadequate drainage will be replaced with a modern, functional, and environmentally friendly parking lot.

What will the project bring?

45 regulated parking spaces: Instead of worn macadam, a high-quality asphalt surface with floor markings will be laid.
Sustainable mobility: Six charging stations for electric vehicles and three spaces for disabled persons will be provided.
Pocket system: The parking lot is designed according to a pocket system, with six connections along the entire eastern side of the parking lot linked to the adjacent Kolodvorska Road.
Rail connection: The layout includes new paved paths for direct and safe passenger access to the platforms.
Green microclimate: The parking lot will be adorned with native deciduous trees, which will provide shade and enhance the appearance of the surroundings.
Proper drainage: A sewer system with an oil trap will ensure that rainwater is properly purified and drained, preventing puddles and damage to the road surface.
