Upgrade of noise protection for railway infrastructure on the Maribor–Ruše section

As part of the plans of the Infrastructure Directorate of the Republic of Slovenia (DRSI), we are participating in the preparation of project documentation for the upgrade of noise protection on the non-electrified section of regional railway line No. 34 (Maribor–Prevalje–d.m.) and the railway triangle in Maribor. Due to its size, the entire project is divided into several subsections, which will enable better connectivity and a more modern passenger experience.

Adaptation of noise protection
Our team participated in the project in the field of noise protection. Due to the installation of new platforms and the expansion of infrastructure, it is also necessary to adapt existing noise protection measures. There are currently fences marked APO_1 and APO_2 in the station area.

As part of the work, we will:

Remove part of the existing fence: At the location of the planned platform, we will demolish approximately 48 meters of old fencing and remove concrete flower boxes.

Install a replacement noise barrier: A new, relocated noise barrier will be built on the left side of the track, which will continue to provide adequate protection of the surrounding area from noise, while also being visually and functionally harmonized with the new appearance of the station.
