Architectural and Design Concept for the Luxury Glamping Resort NINDRI INDRI Nature Retreat*****

We successfully prepared comprehensive project documentation (preliminary design, detailed design, and construction drawings) and architectural plans for the client to build the upscale NINDRI INDRI Nature Retreat*** tourist resort in the idyllic village of Suhi Vrh. The project combines refined architecture, natural materials, and thoughtful integration into the surroundings, promising guests a premium experience of staying in unspoiled nature.

The main building, featuring a restaurant and a boutique apartment, is the heart of the resort

The main building (Building A) is designed in an L-shape, adding a modern touch to the traditional symmetrical gable roof. The building is functionally divided into three floors, which are also connected by an elevator, ensuring full accessibility for all guests:

1. Basement: Designed for a prestigious wine cellar and discreetly located technical and service areas.

2. Ground floor: This is the heart of the resort, featuring an elegant reception area, a bar, and a top-of-the-line restaurant. The restaurant opens onto a spacious, covered terrace with a pergola, offering a direct view of the outdoor pool. Behind the scenes is a technologically advanced, separate kitchen.

3. Attic: It offers space for private gatherings on the gallery and houses a spacious, high-end apartment that includes a private kitchen and a bathroom with a sauna.

Nine boutique wooden accommodation units

Nine boutique accommodation units wind their way eastward across the terraced terrain. They are designed with complete privacy and connection to nature in mind:

Thoughtful floor plan: Each unit offers a living area with a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom with a private sauna, and an additional open sleeping area on the gallery (mezzanine).

Private wellness: Each cottage opens onto an east-facing covered terrace equipped with a private massage pool.

Sustainable construction: The units feature dry-construction wood framing and natural wood-fiber insulation, and are equipped with high-quality wooden fixtures with triple-pane glazing.

The landscaping embodies a harmony of water and greenery

Special attention was paid during the design to the outdoor areas, which tie the settlement together into a unified whole:

Infinity pool: On the eastern side of the main building is a spacious outdoor infinity pool (nearly 20 x 7 m), next to which is a wooden terrace with a viewing platform.

Connection with nature: An artificial stream winds its way between the accommodation buildings, spanned by wooden footbridges. The entire area is enriched with locally characteristic trees and shrubs, and play equipment made of natural materials is planned for the gardens.

Infrastructure: A convenient access road from the local highway has been constructed, featuring a green belt and a parking lot; we have also thoughtfully incorporated the existing traditional well into the design.

Technical Excellence and Sustainable Solutions

The project is distinguished by advanced engineering solutions. The main building’s structural framework is a safe combination of reinforced concrete and modular brick, while the residential buildings are constructed of sustainable wood. Modern utilities are provided, including a small on-site wastewater treatment plant and sustainable rainwater management into the existing retention pond.
